The French port of Toulon lies on the Mediterranean coast between St Tropez and Marseille. Ferries departing from Toulon connect mainland France to Corsica.

The port is a two terminal facility that is open 24 hours. Facilities include several cafés along with vending machines and a snack bar.


The port is tucked into the centre of the city of Toulon and enjoys access to a variety of restaurants, market-stalls, and other shopping options.

Parking options at the port include both short and long-term stays; and specially-designated spaces are available for disabled passengers.

Ferry Services


Corsica Ferries, the Corsican branch of Corsica Sardinia Ferries, runs services to Ajaccio, Bastia, and Ile Rousse. Vessels operating this service include Mega Express and Cruise vessels. Travel time to Ile Rousse and Ajaccio stands at 5 hours, 45 minutes; and service to Bastia takes 9 hours, 30 minutes. All vessels are equipped to handle disabled passengers.

SNCM Ferries also runs services to Ajaccio, Bastia, and Ile Rousse. Travel times are comparable, and the fleet includes cruise vessels as well as mixed vessels rigged to carry passengers along with freight. All vessels are comfortable and fitted with plenty of amenities as well as shopping and dining options.

GLD Lines runs a service to the port of Civitavecchia, which is a primary entry point for onward travel to Rome. The fleet is a single vessel, the Eurostar Valencia, a modern ship which completes the 13-hour journey three times a week. Facilities include dining, shopping, and a cinema. Only two of the vessel's 92 cabins are fitted to accommodate disabled passengers.
